Theme Error

Jul 22, 2011 at 6:24 PM

Downloaded and installed Toolkit but now receiving error

Error    1    The type or namespace name 'Theme' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)    SL4PopupMenuDemo\obj\Debug\Views\Demo2.g.i.cs    77    18    SL4PopupMenuDemo

What reference is missing?

The Demo2.xaml.cs is using System.Windows.Controls.Theming;

The path to the missing assembly should normally be as follows:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v4.0\Toolkit\Apr10\Bin\System.Windows.Controls.Toolkit.dll

If its not the case then you might need to use a matching path for your system.

Yes that reference is there.

Theme is the only object that the error is occurring with.

Sorry the file name should be System.Windows.Controls.Theming.Toolkit.dll instead.

Here's the full path on my machine:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v4.0\Toolkit\Apr10\Bin\System.Windows.Controls.Theming.Toolkit.dll

You should find it in your editor toolbox by the way and be able to create a reference by drag and dropping it into your XAML(unless the toolkit wasn't correctly installed).

Got it thank you.

Having another issue now

In file Demo1.xaml.cs line 44 have the statement:  pmMain.OpenNextTo

Thats all that is there.  Checked the Zip file it has the same, Giving Compile Errors.
